Eagles 2022 draft prospect Kyle Hamilton

Malcolm Jenkins (and his leadership) are long gone. The beloved ‘Green Goblin’, Jalen Mills, the man Philly tried to replace him with, traded midnight green for the red, white, and blue of the New England Patriots during the most recent offseason. Rodney McLeod doesn’t give us much to complain about, but he’s on the wrong side of 30 years of age by NFL standards.

McLeod has also been injured on several different occasions since he arrived in the City of Brotherly Love back in 2016, missing 21 regular-season games since 2017.

Unless the Eagles plan to march into the future and entrust Marcus Epps and K’Von Wallace as the guys and maybe, extend Anthony Harris, they’ll need to put some stock into the defense, especially at its last level.

Kyle Hamilton is probably the best safety in this year’s class. The Philadelphia Eagles ignored Jeremy Chinn by drafting Jalen Hurts in Round 2 during 2020’s NFL Draft. Many see that as a mistake as Chinn has flourished with the Carolina Panthers. Taking Hamilton in 2022 could serve as a bit of a makeup date for Philadelphia and everyone that follows this franchise.
