The Philadelphia Eagles still had some zeroes in their dominant performance

Zero: Fletcher Cox, Defensive Tackle

After speaking publically about how he was being misused inside of this defense, Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox registered one tackle and one QB hit. The highest-paid player on this roster was a bit exposed in this matchup. He was often in one-on-one matchups and didn’t get to  Goff despite getting a green light to be as aggressive as he wanted to be.

After stating that he “doesn’t get paid to defend screen passes”, the most significant play Cox made in this matchup came in defense of, you guessed it, a screen pass. That was somewhat comical, but this may add to the fuel to the fire of the Birds possibly trading him.

Zero: Ryan Kerrigan, Defensive End

After almost every defensive player had their way with the Lions, but Ryan Kerrigan was still unable to register a single sack or tackle. He did notch two QB hits after Detroit was all but checked out of this game though, but honestly, Kerrigan has been a disappointment. He isn’t worth the paycheck that he has been receiving.

So far on the season, he’s registered one tackle. That’s it! One tackle…

Believe it or not, this pretty much wraps up the list of zeroes. This was a complete team win and nothing short of a surprise. The Philadelphia Eagles host the Los Angeles Chargers next week. Let’s hope this momentum carries over into that game.
