Heading into Week 15’s slate of games, as you know, the NFL has been reminded of the constant dangers and need to exercise every precaution as we continue to learn about coronavirus. Just this week alone, the Philadelphia Eagles have seen wide receiver Quez Watkins and running back Jason Huntley miss a week’s worth of practices as they sit on the team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Things haven’t been any easier of their Week-15 opponent, the Washington Football Team. In the days leading up to what was supposed to be a game on Sunday, they’ve added 25 names to their COVID list

In the wake of a rash of positive tests and/or teams adding members of both their players’ rosters and coaching staffs to their respective Reserve/COVID-19 lists, league offices have been met with pressure to postpone games, and they’ve done just that.

Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles’ game will be postponed until Tuesday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, at the time of this story being written and published, Saturday’s game between the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders has been moved to 5 p.m. EST, meaning we’ll now have a doubleheader on that day. The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears game was already scheduled for 8:20 p.m. EST.

He also reports that the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams’ game would be moved to Tuesday along with the Eagles/Washington game. Philly and the Football Team will now square off at 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday. Had these games been canceled, players would not have been paid for either contest.

That news has been confirmed by Jeff McLane. Take a look.

In terms of what that means from an Eagles’ standpoint, Jalen Hurts may have more time to heal from that ankle issue that kept him out of Week 13’s game versus the New York Jets. He was still questionable for Sunday on Friday afternoon. Both Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard were full participants in Friday’s practice session (as was Hurts). They’re expected to play.
