If you’re like the rest of us, much of your free time and evening has been dedicated to keeping those eyeballs peeled for potential updates on those Philadelphia Eagles we can’t stop discussing: Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard, and the man with the most-talked-about ankle in the City of Brotherly Love.

Who are we kidding? Raise your hand if you aren’t hopeful but are still on the lookout for some Brandon Brooks updates.

Philadelphia’s COVID-19 scare appears to be behind us. It’s full steam ahead towards a game at Raymond James Stadium. The Eagles are underdogs. Heck, what else is new?

This one kicks off at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday, January 16th. These teams have met 20 times and the series is dead even with ten wins apiece. Both teams have won two of the four playoff meetings between these two proud franchises. This one’s a rubber match two times over.

Here are the Philadelphia Eagles and Buccaneers Wild Card Weekend inactives.

According to the Eagles’ Friday afternoon status report, right tackle Lane Johnson and linebacker Patrick Johnson were both limited participants but are expected to play. Reserve interior lineman Nate Herbig and Philly’s very impressive defensive end Josh Sweat both sat out.

Herbig continues to heal from an ankle injury. Sweat has been dealing with an illness that isn’t COVID-related (thankfully). As of 2:48 p.m. EST on Friday, both are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Take a look:

On the Buccaneers side, two players have officially been ruled out for Wild Card Weekend: running back Ronald Jones (ankle) and wide receiver Cyril Grayson (hamstring). Cornerbacks Carlton Davis (back) and  Sean Murphy-Bunting (hamstring) were both limited participants and are questionable. Wide receiver Justin Watson (quadriceps) was a full participant, but he’s questionable as well.

Currently, Lavonte David and Leonard Fournette are both still on the team’s injured reserve, but there are rumors they could be added ahead of this one as well.

Philadelphia and Tampa Bay’s final inactive reports will be released 90 minutes before the kickoff of their Wild Card Weekend game. Bookmark this one. Watch the space below for updates as they come.
