Los Angeles Chargers. 5. team. 13. . .

The Chargers are a good team that could add Derek Barnett.

Whenever the subject of free agency comes up, there are certain aspects of the decision-making process that are ignored as we tend to spend most of our time thinking about what teams need and if players are more concerned about winning or what they’re being paid.

Here are a few of the other things that are important: Is that team a contender? What’s the culture like? Who will I be playing with?

If the discussed free agent has a wife and/or children, the job market, schools, and weather is important.

All that’s been said to say this. Can anyone find anything to complain about in terms of moving to Los Angeles to play football? Why do you think the Rams are loaded? And, how about the Chargers? Here’s a prediction. The Chargers won’t have any issues in wooing free agents for a while.

They have a good young coach (Brandon Staley). They have a star at quarterback (Justin Herbert), and if you’re a potential free agent, once you sign there, you can spend your time off hanging out in Beverly Hills or on the beach. Derek Barnett will be very happy there. The question is whether or not L.A. would want Derek Barnett, so let’s talk football.

The Chargers have some star power, but they need some guys along the defensive line. Joey Bosa is a stud, but he can’t do it alone. Linval Joseph, their nose tackle, is expected to become a free agent in 2022. Expect Tom Telesco to make some moves and add a ‘Robin’ for Bosa’s ‘Batman’ going forward.
