No one’s to be abandoning theories of the Eagles exploring some QB options.

We know! We know! When the 2022 NFL season begins, more than likely, Jalen Hurts will still be entrenched as the Philadelphia Eagles‘ starting quarterback. Truthfully, he’s earned the right for another 18-week, 17-game audition. There’s no denying that, but here’s where the rubber meets the road.

Regardless of what vice president/general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni have told us, we don’t believe that the Birds won’t explore other options if they find one that they like better. It isn’t like they haven’t told us one thing and done another before.

Remember, in 2016, when Sam Bradford was supposed to be the guy and Carson Wentz was supposed to carry the clipboard for a year? How did that work out?

If you don’t think the BIrds would jump at the opportunity to land Russell Wilson if the stars aligned and they were able to work something out that was favorable for the organization, you’re following yourselves. That brings us to the next NFL Draft.

We’ve gone on and on about the fact that none of these guys seem to be franchise quarterbacks. We’ve even thrown the theory out there that we aren’t certain that any of the guys in the next draft class are better than Hurts, and for that reason, Philly should stick with Jalen rather than take one. Let’s dig into that theory for a second and look at one of this class’s best prospects.
