. . Jason Kelce, 2011 to present. 1. player. 54.

Jason Kelce is a no-brainer as the Eagles’ best draft choice from 2007 to 2021.

Take all of those lessons on value selections, all-time greats, fan favorites, and hitting the jackpot in the NFL Draft. Throw those conversations in a crockpot, let them simmer, and once the meal is ready for serving, the main course will be Jason Kelce.

No NFL franchise ever takes a player in the sixth round of any selection meeting and banks on that prospect working his way into becoming one of the best players in the organization’s history. Otherwise, had they believed that, they would have drafted him in the first round, right?

Credit the Eagles organization with doing their homework and taking a flier on a two-time Second-team All-Big East nod (2009, 2010) out of the University of Cincinnati with the 191st-overall selection of the 2011 NFL Draft. Yep, that’s where they found Brent Celek too.

As he enters his 12th NFL season, all of which have been with the Birds, Jason Kelce has four First-team All-Pro nods on his resume (2017–2019, 2021). He’s also a five-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl Champion that never comes off of the field.

During his Hall of Fame career, he’s played 100 percent of the snaps during the 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2020 seasons, and he would have played 100 percent of the snaps in 2017 had it not been for a strategic decision by the Eagles coaches to rest the starters in the season finale to rest up for what wound up being a Super Bowl run.

Add Jason Kelce’s name to a list that includes the aforementioned Cox, Johnson, and Graham, guys who have played for Reid, Kelly, Pederson, and Sirianni. One can only hope that the Eagles find a Jason Kelce in every draft.
