Eliminating the trade to move up and draft Dillard gives the Eagles additional draft choices.

We’ve got two more draft choices to utilize! We may as well begin things with a bang.

player. Arkansas. Dre Greenlaw. 127. 844. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Linebacker

Original selection: None (traded)

As mentioned earlier, eliminating the trade for Dillard gives the Eagles the 127th selection. Linebacker Dre Greenlaw is the choice. While not an elite linebacker, he’s been a legitimate role player for the San Fransisco 49ers, and he would have an even larger role in Philadelphia’s barren linebacker unit.

851. Texas. Edge rusher. Charles Omenihu. 138. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Original selection: Shareef Miller

In 2019, the Eagles selected Shareef Miller with the 138th-overall selection. Let’s just say that didn’t work out. Miller wound up on four NFL rosters between 2019 and 2021 and, as mentioned earlier, now calls the USFL’s New Orleans Breakers home. He only played two snaps, both on special teams in the NFL.

Charles Omenihu of the Texas Longhorns would have been a better choice, and he’s the selection at 138. Omenihu played a solid amount of snaps with the Houston Texans before being traded to the San Francisco 49ers. He isn’t a starting-caliber player, but he would have done well in a defensive line rotation that includes Derek Barnett, Josh Sweat, and Brandon Graham.

In three NFL seasons, he’s appeared in 44 games, and he’s made seven starts. He’s added 47 tackles, seven sacks, five pass breakups, and two forced fumbles to his career resume as a result, and he’s STILL playing in the NFL.
