The Eagles add two game-changing defensive stars in Round 1.

There was immense pressure to nail every first-round selection when there were three of them. Now, there’s even less margin for error. There’s no better demonstration of wisdom in these matters than finding that balance between evaluating team needs and combining that with the ‘take the best player available’ approach, and if they do that, the Philadelphia Eagles could land two game-changers in Round 1.

It’s better to be safe than sorry. There may not be a safer bet for the Eagles in the middle of Round 1 than former Georgia Bulldogs/Florida State Seminoles standout Jermaine Johnson II.

Some think he’ll go higher than 15. Others think he will, indeed, hear his name called around the middle of the NFL Draft’s first round. On several occasions, he’s been mocked to Philadelphia, and if he does wind up being the choice for this proud franchise, Birds fans everywhere should be ecstatic.

Pick Analysis. 812. Ohio State Buckeyes. Chris Olave. 18. player. Scouting Report. Wide receiver

Ring the bells! If you love Philly sports, you got that reference.

The Eagles organization takes Chris Olave with the second of their first-round draft choices, and by doing so, they land one of the more polished route-runners and, quite possibly, the most consistent downfield threat in the draft. No disrespect is intended to Jameson Williams who can get down the field as quickly as anyone else.
