You’d feel a lot better if Jeremy Chinn was starting for the Eagles, wouldn’t you?

This one would have re-written history entirely… maybe. If the Eagles never drafted Jalen Hurts, that would probably mean Carson Wentz would still be in Philadelphia and doing his ‘gunslinger’ bid. Philly would have never wound up with the first-round pick they earned by trading him to the Indianapolis Colts, but then again, who knows?

Some believe that taking Hurts was a reach. They believe the Birds could have invested in another position, waited until Round 3, and Jalen probably would have been available anyway. We’ll never know the answer to that. Maybe Hurts and Jeremy Chinn both could have been Eagles, but here’s what we can say with certainty.

Jeremy Chinn is a star in his own right. He’s appeared in 31 games as a professional, and he’s started every single one of them. That has resulted in 224 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles, ten pass breakups, two interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns.

Can you imagine what life would have been like had he and Sneed been the Eagles’ starting safeties? If only life was like Sega Genesis or the early versions of Playstation and it came with a reset button.
