The Eagles have holes, but the roster looks better than it did two months ago.

If you’re like the rest of us, the final three days of April were mighty kind to you. The Philadelphia Eagles are in a much better position than they were in a few months ago from a roster standpoint.

It wasn’t the perfect draft, had it been so, the secondary would have been addressed. Had you placed a wager in the middle of April that Philly would enter the NFL Draft with ten picks and fail to address the cornerback or safety position, you would have cleaned up.

It’s for that reason that their second-round choice stands out, one that brought Cam Jurgens into the nest. With so many holes on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, it’s easy to understand the theory that the Birds could have foregone taking a backup center who won’t play for a year, but credit the Eagles’ brass for two things.

One, they didn’t press or reach on players. Second, they did what we’ve all said we wanted them to do. Rather than freestyle this, they had a plan, and they stuck with it.

In the end, this Eagles team has improved its roster, but there are still obvious holes to fill. In the meantime, we can still take a deep dive into where they are currently. That being said, here’s a look at what the depth chart could look like now that the draft is over and Philadelphia has added to what will eventually be a 90-man roster with the addition of some intriguing undrafted rookie free agents.
