The Eagles have to dom need a better record against the weak NFC East.

Philadelphia should be embarrassed by last season’s 3-3 record versus NFC East competition. There’s no nice way to say it. The easiest road to the postseason is by winning the division, and for a team that’s made the adjustments roster-wise that the Eagles have made, there should be no reason why this team can’t stack wins versus a weak division.

Watching this team get blown out by the Dallas Cowboys twice last year was a hard pill to swallow, but let’s be fair. In the first meeting, the Eagles hadn’t found their footing under Sirianni yet. The second game was a throwaway. Philly elected to rest their starters as they prepared for their game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As bad as things got versus Dallas, it was more embarrassing to lose to a putrid New York Giants team. The 13-9 Week 12 loss saw a single Eagles rushing touchdown in the game. One word summed that game up: Yikes! To make matters worse, that win was New York’s only divisional win they earned last season.

An argument may be made that the Los Angeles Rams went 3-3 in the NFC West, but let’s face it. They obviously play in a better division and were an obvious Super Bowl Contender. Philly has no excuses in the ‘NFC Least’.

If Philadelphia wants to make a return trip to the playoffs, they’ll need to establish dominance over the teams that they’re supposed to beat. A .500 record or less versus the NFC East with this Eagles roster is unacceptable.
