The Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings renew unpleasantries in Week 2 on Monday Night Football.

There is plenty of bad blood that exists between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings, a bitterness that has been shown by both fan bases. There’s also a strange connection. There was the trade that sent Sam Bradford to Minneapolis and a pair of the Vikings’ draft selections to the City of Brotherly Love. Philly got the Vikes’ 2016 first-round pick and a 2017 fourth-rounder (the latter selection would later be traded to the Miami Dolphins for running back Jay Ajayi). They’ve met on the field 29 times with Minnesota holding a 15-14 edge.

It’s hard to be forgiving of a team whose fans attempted to defile the Rocky statue. Speaking of Rocky, there was also that time that they did their ‘Skol’ chant on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The football field is where grudges need to be solved though, and the Vikes have beaten the Birds in each of their last two head-to-head matchups that followed a memorable NFC Championship Game. It also stings that the Vikings were the team that benefitted the most from the Eagles drafting Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson.

Reagor and Jefferson are teammates now. and this will be the first time that both play the Eagles on Monday night. All eyes will be on this game. Here are five subplots that surround what figures to be a wildly-entertaining contest.
