NFL Power Rankings: The ‘should we be worried or excited?’ tier

The Cincinnati Bengals seemed to be on the verge of a nightmare campaign before winning four of five games after an 0-2 start. Most recently, they lost a primetime game to a divisional rival, one they were favored to win.

Divisional opponents are always difficult tests. Even the most successful teams can suffer losses to their rivals, but if the Bengals don’t win the games that they’re supposed to, making the playoffs might be out of the question. They had better hope Ja’Marr Chase returns sooner rather than later.

team. 30. . 5-3. Previous: 21st. New York Jets. 11

The 2022 New York Jets may be one of the biggest shockers of the season. If not for a successful run by New York’s other team, they’d be the talk of the Big Apple. The Jets looked unimpressive at best in their Week 8 loss to New England. Losing Breece Hall for the season appears to have taken its toll on their offense.

Zach Wilson misses too many throws. He has to be better. Time will tell if he can be.
