The Eagles enjoyed some NFL Draft hits between 2010 and 2019, but they also fell victim to some really bad misses.

It’s been quite a run! From 2010 until 2019, the Philadelphia Eagles saw both success and failure during a decade’s worth of NFL Drafts. They selected much of the core that helped take them to two Super Bowls and win one of them.

Think it about. During a ten-year stretch, Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Fletcher Cox, and Brandon Graham were all added during that time. Their leadership played a big part in keeping the team in the hunt as legitimate Super Bowl contenders a time or two during the decade, but as you know, the draft is often described as being a crap shoot.

There’s also a list of guys that didn’t work out. They were drafted as a part of some of the same classes that produced our heroes, but they are no longer with the team. Some helped Philly win its first Super Bowl. Others have long since been forgotten.

Philadelphia wouldn’t have won the Super Bowl without the trusty arm of Nick Foles or without the heroics of Zach Ertz. You also have to give Carson Wentz some credit here. He helped put the Birds in the position to secure that top seed, and that helped spearhead a run in the playoffs.

Those are just a handful of the draft day hits that we saw between 2010 and 2019, but let’s explore the other side. Let’s take some time and remember the doozies. Here are the five worst rookie seasons from guys we were hoping we’d get more out of.
