At the 62nd overall selection, the Philadelphia Eagles add a talented linebacker.

Standing at six-foot-four and weighing 249 pounds, Iowa’s Jack Campbell possesses an above-average frame and the proper size for the modern NFL linebacker. His size does not come at the expense of athleticism either. He led all linebackers at the 2023 Scouting Combine with a 4.24-second 20-yard shuttle and a 3.67-second three-cone drill.

Campbell also posted top-three numbers with a 37.50-inch vertical jump and a ten-foot-eight-inch broad jump. While his 4.65-second 40-yard dash fell outside the top ten at the 2023 Combine, his speed, athleticism, and overall ability have never stopped him from making plays consistently throughout his football career.

Campbell was named a team captain as a junior and senior in high school and college, as a member of the Academic All-Big Ten team for his final three years at Iowa, and landed on the AP All-American team in 2022. His combination of athleticism, size, and intelligence makes him a fit for any linebacker group. The Eagles shouldn’t hesitate to select him if he is available late in the second round.

Over his four seasons at Iowa, he started 28 games, 27 of which came as a junior and senior. He finished his career as a Hawkeye with three sacks, three forced fumbles, five interceptions, 13.5 tackles for loss, 15 passes defended, 305 total tackles, and one defensive touchdown.

He primarily played in a MIKE linebacker role, but his athleticism suggests he could find success however the Philadelphia Eagles chose to use him alongside 2021 third-rounder Nakobe Dean and the recently-signed Nicholas Morrow.
