What a weekend it was! What a performance by Howie Roseman and his staff. The Philadelphia Eagles‘ vice president/general manager has managed a difficult offseason, and all things considered, things turned out better than we could have hoped. The addition of an exciting seven-man draft class has some saying the 2023 roster will be better than last year’s version.

Nationally, the reigning Pro Football Writers of America’s Executive of the Year has been a lot of credit, but success often creates envy. Guess what? Some are upset about the credit he has been given.

Eagles news: Some of Howie Roseman’s peers lament that he’s given too much credit.

If you tuned into this past weekend’s festivities and stayed for the entire show on all three days, you may have walked away experiencing feelings of both joy and overload. Something caught our attention though. NFL Network’s Peter Schrager suggested sometime around 6:30 p.m. EST that some of the NFL’s other G.M.s are slightly upset and envious of all of the national attention and high praise that Philly’s executive vice president has been getting.

Yeah… We’re not going to dedicate a ton of time to this one, but here’s where we stand on this. If you’re among the contingent that has decided to ‘hate’ rather than ‘congratulate’, here’s a bit of advice.

How about you just focus on your own team and do a better job? Trust us on this one, if you deserve the credit, you’ll earn it.

More Eagles news: D’Andre Swift lends his hand to aid a charity.

One of the surprise moves of the NFL Draft occurred when the Detroit Lions, who probably could have used a defensive lineman or cornerback, drafted a running back. Jahmyr Gibbs was the choice at the 12th overall selection. Immediately, teams began calling the Lions to see if D’Andre Swift was on the market. He was, and Philly landed him by way of a trade.

What was D’Andre doing at this time? He was busy raising money for a charity.

Rap artist Quavo and Legends hosted the 5th annual Huncho Day Celebrity Football Game and raised $2 million for The Rocket Foundation, an organization created to support programs and institutions that are “saving lives through proven, community-based solutions to prevent gun violence”.

In a city like Philly, philanthropy is near and dear to the hearts of many of its citizens. The Eagles have long been home to great men who play the game we love. D’Andre is going to fit right in. Here’s a tip of the cap for his efforts to make the world we live in a better place.
