The Philadelphia Eagles are fresh off another solid NFL Draft, as their 2026 class landed some new pass catchers for Jalen Hurts and some dynamite role players for the future.

However, Howie Roseman hasn't built a perfect roster, as this team has some noteworthy holes that need patching. Roseman's lack of attention to defense could come back to bite him.

With the 2026 Draft in the books, the Eagles need to turn their attention toward fixing these three holes on the roster.

3 biggest holes on Eagles roster after NFL Draft

3. Safety

The Eagles may have surprised some by not drafting a true replacement for Reed Blankenship, choosing to augment their safety room with Cole Wisniewski in the seventh round and roll with a presumed starting duo of Andrew Mukuba and Marcus Epps. That could come back to bite them in the rear end.

Not only did the Eagles choose not to pick a safety until the end of Day 3, but they didn't pick from a class that was widely regarded as one of the best in years at that position. Roseman may have needed to prioritize the secondary a bit more.

2. Defensive Line Depth

Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis have formed quite the dynamic duo on the interior, and Moro Ojomo is a solid rotational player, but the Eagles are one injury away from putting seldom-used 2025 draftee Ty Robinson into a place of prominence. That could spell disaster due to the lack of quality on that line.

The only true defensive lineman the Eagles drafted is seventh-rounder Uar Bernard, who has never played organized football and likely won't see the field for years. Philly would do well to peruse the free agent market and try to make one more signing in this area.

1. Wide Receiver (without A.J. Brown)

While the Eagles pulled off a tremendous value pick when they selected Makai Lemon at No. 20 overall, he is at his best when he is going over the middle and making plays with the ball in his hands. He isn't a boundary target, which is both what Jalen Hurts needs to succeed and what Brown can provide.

No one receiver is going to replace Brown if they pull off the trade, but there is reason to wonder what this offense is going to look like if Lemon is unable to play on the boundary and trade addition Dontayvion Wicks is unable to take a step forward.
