After the disappointing 2025 season, the Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to bounce back and make their third Super Bowl appearance in the last five years.

A lot went wrong last year, resulting in one of the most disappointing seasons in recent memory for Philly. The focus this season is to get things back on track and reclaim their spot in the Super Bowl.

There are three scenarios that need to play out for the Eagles to get back to the Super Bowl without issues. What do they have to do in order to make this dream a reality for the fan base?

Jalen Hurts completes 68% of his passes with six or fewer interceptions, but over 600 rushing yards

Hurts doesn't need to throw the football over 500 times in the regular season; the only time he did that in 2023, he threw for a career-high 15 interceptions. What he needs to do more of is run the ball, so he'd better get over 600 yards on the ground. If he can get his usual 68% completion percentage and throw fewer than six interceptions, the Eagles' offense should be in a really good position.

Jonathan Greenard records over 10 sacks on the season

Over the years, the Eagles have survived without a pass rusher getting more than 10 sacks in a season; they haven't had one since 2022, when four players hit that mark, with Haason Reddick leading with 16. There's a lot of pressure on the edge rushers to develop and play better, so the veteran Greenard getting over 10 sacks as he did in 2024 with the Minnesota Vikings would be great. Even getting Jalyx Hunt or Nolan Smith to be between eight and 10 sacks would be massive as well.

Sean Mannion coaches a top-10 offensive unit with a top-five running game

As much as Eagles fans want to move away from being a run-first offense, Philly has been to two Super Bowls since 2022 because they can run the ball. It would be nice to have a passing attack that can get close to the top 10, but getting Saquon Barkley rolling quickly would be better for the Eagles' chances of making the Super Bowl. Look at what happened with a bottom-15 rushing attack last season and how that turned out.
