Once again, the Philadelphia Eagles can't just have an easy win and make life stressful for the fan base, but still preserved the 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings on the road.
While the offense was wildly inconsistent, the defense had six tackles for loss and two sacks on former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. On offense, with a lack of consistent play in the running game, Jalen Hurts stepped up with four incompletions for 326 yards and three touchdowns.
There were some shaky performances on the Eagles, but it was overall a statement-win for a Philly team that needed it.
Winner: Cooper DeJean, CB
DeJean did what he does best, laying big hits in the secondary while adding in tough coverage. When he faced Justin Jefferson in the red zone in the first half, he covered him well, even breaking up a potential touchdown. He finished with eight tackles, one tackle for loss. and one pass deflection. A stellar start for DeJean
Loser: Quinyon Mitchell, CB
It's another game where Mitchell wasn't necessarily looking like himself in coverage. He allowed an easy, wide-open Jordan Addison reception early in the first half. Mitchell gave up some easy receptions from Jefferson. The inconsistent play of someone who is supposed to be CB1 is starting to be a concern for the Eagles.
Winner: Jalen Hurts, QB
There has been so much heat on Hurts for not hitting the deep ball and questioning him as a consistent passer, but that was all silenced with a great game. He completed over 82% of his passes for a season-high 326 yards and three touchdowns. That should keep the pressure off of him for at least a week with his best game of the season.
Loser: Brett Toth, C
With Cam Jurgens getting hurt early in the first half, Toth had the challenging task of filling in at center. Toth struggled to hold up and got bullied in the middle. Any time the Eagles' offensive line gets hurt, the offense stalls out, so Jurgens is showing how important he is to the unit.

Winner: DeVonta Smith, WR
This is now two of the last three games that Smith has caught over 100 yards after A.J. Brown made his cryptic tweet. Smith might owe Brown something after having a 79-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter and finishing with 183 receiving yards, a career-high for him. There might be a side conversation about Smith being the number one receiver on this team.
