OTAs are just around the corner for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the expectations are growing within Philly for the team in 2026.

The team did not follow up their Super Bowl championship well, as they still made the playoffs and won the NFC East with an 11-6 record. One problem was that they were ousted early by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card round.

Things need to get turned around quickly and have this franchise back in the Super Bowl conversations, which all starts with OTAs. Four players have a chance to take advantage of OTAs as their chance to prove they can help the Eagles achieve that.

Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, WR

With A.J. Brown pretty much out the door, Hollywood Brown was brought in to give the Eagles some much-needed speed. Since Hollywood was signed, though, Philly also added Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, and Elijah Moore, adding more pressure on Brown to perform well and might end up being a backup. If Brown can show the Eagles he still has it at OTAs, it might give him a better chance to start from Day 1.

Jalyx Hunt, EDGE

Last season was a quiet breakout season for Hunt, who became the first Eagles player to ever lead the team in sacks (6.5) and interceptions (three) in the same season. Still, Philly felt the need to trade for Jonathan Greenard to replace Jaelan Phillips, leaving Hunt once again as the backup behind Nolan Smith. Going into Year 3, though, Hunt has a chance to finally prove he should be a starter and not just a backup.

Ty Robinson, DT

Last year at OTAs, Robinson made a lot of noise with how massive and strong he looked, but ultimately did not play nearly as much as Eagles fans thought he might. It might be the same in 2026 for him as the main three defensive tackles in Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Moro Ojomo are back again. Robinson could have a chance to explode at OTAs and show Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio that he needs to be more active and in the rotation this season.

Tyler Steen, RG

Last season was an average season for Steen as he took over for Mekhi Becton at right guard, and while he started all 17 games, he didn't convince Eagles fans he was the long-term starter. The Eagles are considering giving him another chance in 2026, but fans can't help but beg the team to bring Becton back. If Steen can put up a strong performance at OTAs, it might silence the critics for a bit.
