The Philadelphia Eagles have been somewhat busy making small signings throughout the offseason as they try to build the roster for 2026.
While there haven't been any splash signings, there are plenty of new talents brought in who are depth pieces at key positions. Guys like Riq Woolen and Marquise "Hollywood" Brown certainly complicate the question of who will make the roster.
The new arrivals have raised questions from the fan base about who will make the roster and who doesn't know it yet but is pretty much already out the door. Here's a look at some of those players who might already have lost their jobs before minicamp.
Grant Calcaterra, TE
The tight end room is very crowded at the moment, with Dallas Goedert starting. Calcaterra might have a decent shot of making the team with Johnny Mundt and Stone Smartt as new arrivals from training camp. Cameron Latu is great in special teams, so he could make the roster still, but if a tight end is drafted this year, Calcaterra's spot on the 53-man roster could very much be in jeopardy.
Jakorian Bennett, CB
Riq Woolen and Jonathan Jones's arrivals certainly aren't going to help Bennett's chances of making the 53-man roster. Despite Kelee Ringo struggling worse in coverage than Bennett, Ringo is a special teams ace and would make the roster off of that. Bennett could be in the danger zone of not making the roster if the Eagles select another cornerback in the NFL Draft.
Dameon Pierce, RB
Pierce hasn't even stepped on the field yet, but his chances of making the roster could be very hard despite the fact that the Eagles did carry four running backs on the roster last year. Look at what happened with A.J. Dillon, though, as he was inactive for pretty much the whole second half of the season. Pierce might not be a fan of that idea, so either he will be asked to be released from the team or the Eagles could just let him go in training camp, with Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley behind Saquon Barkley.

Quez Watkins, WR
Back in the day, Watkins was once seen as the deep threat that Jalen Hurts would look to on long throws. A lot of competition has been brought in with Elijah Moore and Marquise "Hollywood" Brown through free agency, so the likelihood of Watkins beating them out, as well as Darius Cooper and Johnny Wilson, seems very unlikely.
