The 2026 NFL Draft is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable in recent memory, with even more uncertainty surrounding what the Philadelphia Eagles are going to do with the 23rd overall pick.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has been projected to do everything from selecting Lane Johnson's successor to picking Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson to even trading up to select Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. The consensus is that no one has a clue what Roseman is thinking and what he's going to do.
One thing for is that there are certain scenarios in the draft that could arise and force Roseman to act, making a move and picking a player who could completely change the Eagles' roster. Check out the four that could flip the roster on its head with one phone call from Roseman.
Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson escapes the top 10 unselected
The buzz around Tyson has been growing again, as expectations are now that he could once again be a top 10 pick in the draft. If the injuries still concern teams and he leaves the top 10, the Eagles might have to pounce with a move up to get him. A.J. Brown is pretty much out the door, and Philly needs someone to be the next long-term WR2 to DeVonta Smith, so Tyson feels like he would fit that role perfectly.
Alabama OT Kadyn Proctor is still available at pick 23
Proctor is becoming a popular name to select anywhere between the lower end of the top 10 and pick 15. There is a chance he can drop all the way to the Eagles at 23; if that is the case, Proctor has to be picked so he can be the eventual successor to Johnson at right tackle.
Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren makes it to the second round
Philly loves their Toledo defensive backs after the success of Quinyon Mitchell, but another one could end up being their starting safety if they take him. The Eagles have bigger needs at 23rd overall, so safety may not be the move, but if McNeil-Warren drops into the second round, Roseman would be wise to act quickly to move up and select him to replace Reed Blankenship.

Vanderbilt TE Eli Stowers drops to the third round
Stowers is a freakish athlete at tight end, as he was the second-fastest tight end at the NFL Combine with a 4.51-second 40-yard dash. If Stowers ends up dropping into the third round, the Eagles have two picks in the round, so they could easily trade their 68th overall pick to move up and make sure no one else grabs him. This will help the Eagles secure their tight end of the future at a lower cost and allow them to focus on other positions in the first two rounds.
