The Philadelphia Eagles are not being seen as any kind of favorites entering their Week 7 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
Philly enters the game with too many injuries to deal with, including Dontayvion Wicks, DeVonta Smith, Nolan Smith Jr., and Michael Carter. There are still questions about Saquon Barkley, Jonathan Greenard, and Landon Dickerson as to whether they will even play.
Expectations have never been lower for the Eagles, as there are five bold predictions going into the game. A fair warning: not all are favorable towards Philly. Here's a look at them.
Bold predictions for Eagles against the Cowboys in Week 7
Tanner McKee doesn't even throw for 150 yards
Without DeVonta Smith and Wicks in the game and a banged-up Dallas Goedert, there won't be a ton of yards put up by McKee. A big reason for that as well is that the Cowboys are the 31st-worst run defense in the NFL, so Philly is going to hammer the ball on the ground more with Barkley if he plays. McKee might get 20 to 25 pass attempts, but with Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper as the top receivers, they won't be throwing the ball down the field.
Saquon Barkley eclipses over 100 yards for the first time in 2026
Well, it was already mentioned how bad Dallas' defense is against the run, but how about 5.1 yards per carry for Barkley this year despite the injuries? It could also help that Dickerson teased on social media that he could be back for the Cowboys game. This is a game where Barkley could go off and have a great performance when the team needs him the most.
Darius Cooper somehow catches just two passes and scores twice
50% of Cooper's receptions in 2026 have gone for touchdowns. That's four he has caught this season, which is an insane stat, but it is true. Philly is not known for targeting him often, so don't expect that, but the Eagles should look his way in the red zone, which could lead to two touchdowns on two receptions.
Cooper DeJean racks up 15 tackles for the Eagles
DeJean has not been 100% healthy this season, and his performance has shown that over the course of the season. Despite that, the Eagles know they have a true weapon in the slot with him, so they will keep moving him around, and he will help with run support and pass coverage. Watch for him to be the leading tackler on the team with 15.

Eagles don't get a single sack on the Cowboys
Without Nolan Smith in the game, the Eagles might actually struggle to produce sacks. Greenard is a game-time decision, which could lead to him being out, and if Jalyx Hunt plays, he won't be fully healthy either. Philly does not have a reliable pass rusher in this game, so don't expect the Eagles to be able to get a sack against this Cowboys offensive line that is solid in pass protection.
