5 Cooper Rush supporting cast stars to watch during Eagles vs. Cowboys

Dak's out and is going to be out for a while. That means Philly gets the Cooper Rush experience in Week 9. He has some talented teammates to rely upon.

Dallas Cowboys Week is different. We despise this team. We hate its fans. Every time we think of them and clear our throats, there's this bad aftertaste in our mouths. It tastes like the food they sell at AT&T Stadium. If you haven't heard, the Philadelphia Eagles get their first crack at their rivals this week, and the goal is to extend a four-game winning streak.

We just wish Dak Prescott was playing, so when Philly hands their rivals this next loss, we don't have to hear the excuses about what would have happened had he played.

Dak Prescott is out, and Cooper Rush is starting during the Eagles vs. Cowboys Week 10 affair.

It's been a long time since Philly walked into Arlington and won. It hasn't happened since 2017. Six straight losses. Dak Prescott has had a lot to do with that.

His recent extension is good news for Philly. As long as he's the Cowboys' starter, Dallas will never be a consistent contender, but he's had his way with the Eagles. He's won nine of 13 games vs. the Birds as a starter.

Revenge will have to wait. He's been shelved by a hamstring injury, so Philly gets Cooper Rush. His lone start vs. the Birds came in 2022 during a Week 6 Eagles home game.

The good guys won that by a 26-17 margin. We feel this one sets up nicely for another Eagles win. Let's talk about some of Rush's supporting cast.

Here are five Cowboys to watch when Dallas is operating on offense.

RB Ezekiel Elliott (if he isn't scratched from the lineup)

Believe it or not, this is true.

It's hard to believe an NFL veteran who is as old as Ezekiel Elliott still gets in trouble for all of the stuff he gets in trouble for. Physically, he's washed, but that doesn't seem to matter when he plays Philadelphia. He does to our Birds what Boston Scott used to do to the New York Giants.

In other words, here's what we're saying. Don't take his ability to influence this one for granted

WR CeeDee Lamb

Every week, NFL teams know the one guy they have to limit when they play Dallas is CeeDee Lamb. Most weeks, Lamb still goes out an gets his. 53 receptions, 660 yards receiving, and four receiving TDs are the results of his efforts this season. Philly must keep tabs on him.

WR Jonathan Mingo (maybe)

One WR mention deserves another. Jonathan Mingo was acquired via trade on Tuesday. He won't have had much time to get up to speed for Week 10's game, so if he plays, it would probably be sparingly.

Still, he's the new guy, the one Philly has had the shortest time to prepare for. Sometimes, that could lead to a big play or two. Let's hope it doesn't.

LT Tyler Guyton

The man charged with watching Cooper Rush's blindside hasn't been very good as of late. He's regressing and has been a liability for the Cowboys' O-line.

Philly's pass rush could have some opportunities to get by him and cause trouble in the backfield. No Eagles fan would complain if that were to happen.

RB Rico Dowdle

Rico Dowdle's approval rating is rising among the Cowboys contingent. He isn't necessarily a world beater, but unlike Guyton, he has exceeded expectations.

He gives their attack something other than spamming the ball to CeeDee Lamb. If the Birds shut him down, that's a huge win for Philly's defense.
