The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a horrendous loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday night, but even worse, they are dealing with all kinds of injuries.
- Zack Baun, LB (concussion)
- Hollywood Brown, WR (ankle)
- Marcus Epps, S (groin)
- Dallas Goedert, TE (knee)
- Fred Johnson, OT (knee)
- DeVonta Smith, WR (hamstring)
With those players out, the Eagles have six players who need to step up and play well against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4. Here are the Eagles players under pressure to step up and carry the team in Week 4.
Which Eagles players face pressure with team being injured?
Zach Ertz, TE
Dallas Goedert is not on the field for the Eagles for the second straight game. Ertz caught a pass in the Bears' loss but didn't have the impact fans hoped for, even if that's unfair. With Goedert and Smith out, Ertz will be needed more than ever.
Saquon Barkley, RB
Barkley got into a nice rhythm in the first half against the Bears, but the Eagles moved away from the run in the second half when it became a blowout. Philly needs him to have a breakout game, but it just hasn't happened yet. With two top pass-catchers out, the running game might be featured more than usual.
Dontayvion Wicks, WR
Wicks has lived up to the preseason hype and become the team's WR2. Now that Smith is out, Wicks moves up to the top spot, and Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper move up the depth chart. Jalen Hurts already has great chemistry with Wicks, so the expectations should be for those two to connect early and often.
Jihaad Campbell, LB
Campbell may lead the team in tackles, but he has struggled with pass coverage. He is now looked at as the top linebacker, with Jeremiah Trotter Jr. replacing Baun in the lineup. All eyes will be on Campbell to see if he can live up to his first-round pick expectations.
Cooper DeJean, CB
DeJean has had an up-and-down season, but he seems to be on the right track as he gets healthier. He could see more reps at safety with Epps out. The Eagles really need DeJean to be the playmaker he has been over the last two years and create a turnover or two.

Jalen Hurts, QB
Of course, Hurts has to face that kind of pressure since he's the quarterback and is already carrying the Eagles' offense through three weeks. Against Chicago, Hurts had a rushing score and an interception, along with some accuracy struggles. He really needs to come through for the Eagles, since he doesn't have his top two offensive targets, but he never makes excuses and always delivers for his team.
