There were plenty of risks that Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman took in the offseason to help give the roster a boost while not breaking the bank. Still, one might be on the verge of losing his job or landing a longer contract, depending on how he plays.
Eagles cornerback Adoree' Jackson made the worst first impression on the fan base after allowing over 100 yards receiving in the 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Since then, though, it has been a completely different story, as Jackson has been playing well.
It hasn't always been consistently good play from Jackson throughout the season, but he is putting up more solid performances than bad ones. In fact, he hasn't allowed over 38 yards receiving since that Week 1 matchup, but is it enough for him to stick around in Philly?
Adoree' Jackson needs to finish the season strong to stay in Philadelphia in 2026
This season, Jackson has racked up 50 tackles, nine pass deflections, and one interception in 13 games. He's allowed a completion percentage of 62.3%, which is the fourth highest in his eight-year NFL career, but has allowed a passer rating of 87.9, the lowest since 2022.
Over the last three weeks, Jackson has dominated in the secondary and has become the shutdown corner at CB2 that the Eagles were hoping he would be. While two of those games were against the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders, the Los Angeles Chargers' performance for Jackson was one of his best of the season.
Even at the age of 30, there is uncertainty as to whether Jackson would be back with the Eagles in 2026. He's a good veteran leader in the secondary who has proven to be a great tackler, but needs to be more consistent in pass coverage. Jackson is starting to get there, but his play over the next two weeks and in the postseason will determine whether the Eagles even want to bring him back.

The status of Jackson on the Eagles in the offseason will be one of the top headlines for the team, but if he fails these last few games, he might make that decision a lot easier. On the other side, some top performances in the next few games could also put Roseman in a position where he might need more money to stick around.
