Philadelphia Eagles fans were waiting all year for the kind of performance that they got from A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in the 28-22 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7.
The two wide receivers combined for a staggering 304 yards and three touchdowns. Brown and Smith were responsible for 93% of Jalen Hurts' 326 passing yards.
Smith was the star of the game with his nine receptions for 183 yards and a 79-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter that flipped the momentum on its head. Brown made some great plays as well with his fourth down 36-yard score in the first quarter, his 26-yard touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter, and his 45-yard reception on the final drive to seal the win. He finished with four receptions for 121 yards and his two touchdowns.
This will be a performance that not many Eagles fans are going to forget from the wide receivers who continue to prove that they are the best duo in the NFL.
What's the best way to describe Brown and Smith's performance?
NFL Spin Zone's Adam Patrick had the perfect title for Brown and Smith with some glowing words for them. Patrick was quick to call them a "dynamic duo" and wasn't shy about praising their "heroic performance" in the win over the Vikings.
"Smith and Brown have spent most of the season so far practically begging to become bigger factors in the Eagles' offense, and in Week 7, they got their opportunity to prove why they are arguably the best wide receiver duo in the entire NFL.
If Philadelphia's passing attack continues to look like it did against the Vikings for the rest of the 2025 campaign, then their dreams of repeating as Super Bowl champs this season will have a much better chance at becoming an actual reality."

It's clear now that Hurts should throw the football to Smith and Brown more often, as good things happen with the Eagles' offense if he does that. Expect more of that in the future.
