Well...okay then.

If there was ever a non-answer that spoke louder than words, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown just won the prize for that in 2025.

The big drama in Philly this week has been the remarks made by Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn after the Birds took down the Detroit Lions 16-9 in Week 11. Gunn shared a report that members of the Eagles organization were frustrated with quarterback Jalen Hurts for his on-field performance.

While speaking to the media in front of his locker in preparation for the Week 12 Dallas Cowboys showdown, Brown was asked about this, just like every other player and coach has been. The star receiver took a much shorter, more direct approach to his response.

“Ask me about Dallas.”

Eagles fans got the message loud and clear

Okay. That is vindication enough to know that there is a problem in the relationship between Brown and Hurts, but that's not exactly new information for anyone who follows the Eagles.

The problems started brewing last year with reports that Brown was frustrated with Hurts not giving him the ball. Former Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson added fuel to the fire with his comments on his podcast about the deteriorating relationship between Brown and Hurts.

There's some understanding of the frustrations, as Brown had only 38 receptions for 457 yards and three touchdowns in nine games this season. In six of those nine games Brown has played, he has had games where he was under 50 yards receiving for the contest.

Hurts has completely changed his style of play starting last year where he is less about taking risks and more about trying to protect the football. Remember, Hurts had 15 interceptions in 2023 with this strategy. Since then, he's had six interceptions dating back to 2024.

For somebody like Brown, who is all about getting the ball, that is incredibly frustrating. Eagles fans would disagree since that strategy helped them win a Super Bowl last year, so it's hard to ignore that type of thinking altogether.

It certainly feels like Brown and Hurts' relationship is beyond repair after they were close friends back in 2022. Hopefully, they will take Jason Kelce's advice and talk it out and be accountable for each other to get back to the way things used to be between them.
