A.J. Brown is included on another list that Eagles fans might be tired of seeing

With free agency on the horizon, several NFL teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles, have begun retooling their rosters in preparation for March 11, when free agency begins.

In addition to free agency, March 11 marks the official start of the trading period; deals may occur before then. With that being said, Bleacher Report NFL writer Kristopher Knox broke down 10 candidates from NFL teams, taking into account team needs, roster makeup, and exterior factors. Knox, to no surprise, listed disgruntled Eagle wide receiver A.J. Brown as a prime candidate to be moved on from this offseason.

Knox believes that Brown's projected trade value would be a 2026 fourth-round pick, a 2026 seventh-round pick, and a conditional 2027 third-round pick, which is quite the drop off from his 2022 trade, which was for the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, which the Titans used to select wide receiver Treylon Burks from Arkansas, while Tennessee also received a third-round pick.

A.J. Brown continues to be rumored to be traded by Eagles

While Brown's production on the field has been electric, resulting in two Pro Bowls and three All-Pros, along with four 1,000-yard seasons, his frustrations have been well-documented this past season, with his role in the offense seemingly diminished in 2025.

Brown has been the center of multiple levels of dysfunction within the Eagles' organization, including cryptic tweets, media outbursts, and arguments on the Eagles' sideline with coaches. However, despite the impending trade, neither Brown nor the Eagles has made any official move regarding his status moving forward.

Brown hasn't demanded a trade in the offseason yet, while general manager Howie Roseman has yet to put him on the trade block. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo has reported that trade talks are set to pick up during the NFL scouting combine.

With Brown heading into his age-29 season, it's doubtful the Eagles will be able to recoup a full investment from an interested team given his off-field issues and attitude, along with his age. The Eagles may be able to shop Brown for a third-round pick, and a conditional day-three pick to a team needing Wide Receiver help, like the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, or Cleveland Browns, hoping to catch lightning in a bottle in 2026.
