With less than two weeks until the critical June 1 date, Philadelphia Eagles fans are wondering when A.J. Brown will be traded by the team, and whether they will indeed move him to the New England Patriots.

Over the last few weeks, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter has been confident that the trade will happen around June 1. Schefter is so confident that he proved it to 97.5 The Fanatic in a way Eagles fans never thought he would.

"I've said I'm sticking to my guns. I've said all along I expect that trade to be on or shortly after June 1. I don't think anything has changed. I got called this week to do a gold trip with one of my friends. He called me like an overnight golf trip. I'm like 'When is it?' He said 'June 2.' I'm like 'June 2.' So June 2 and 3 he said 'Yeah.' I said 'Okay, well, I am willing to roll the dice.' And I told the guy I'm going to join him and his friends for two days of golf on the second and third, which we will have to either move up my hit that Wednesday to either that Monday. We'll probably do it on the first. Anyway, I told him I would come, so based on what I'm doing, that should tell you that I feel like I expect it to be earlier rather than later."

Adam Schefter is going on a trip at the time he's so confident A.J. Brown gets traded on June 1

Everyone knows Schefter is a workaholic, given how in touch he has to stay with NFL sources, so for him to go on a two-day golf trip shows he knows what's going on. That shows he knows that, most likely, a deal is in place and when the Eagles will report the trade to the NFL.

While other NFL teams are being thrown in the conversation to stir up headlines, Eagles fans know by now that Brown will most likely get traded to the Patriots. Philly is expected to get a first-round pick in 2027 or 2028, as well as either another player or the potential to swap mid-round draft picks.
