Five games remain, including one on Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles place a drama-filled week behind them. It's time to focus on a clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Would we be wrong if we said Philly has played up and down to their competition?

The Birds have looked dominant vs. the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders. They've appeared limited when hosting the Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers. If that trend continues, we should see a well-oiled machine on the field in Week 15.

The guarantees for this week? What might we see? Well, no one knows until it happens, but we expect to see Philly's best effort because no one has to be told that what we saw from the Birds last week won't cut it vs. a better team.

A.J. Brown finishes with 100 yards receiving a scores a touchdown.

So, let's talk predictions. And, we'll start with this one. We've been told not to worry, so we won't.

A.J. Brown says everything is cool. Jalen Hurts echoes that. We expect a better effort to get A.J. involved.

Saquon Barkley drops 150 yards rushing and scores two more rushing TDs.

Targeting A.J. more doesn't mean Philly loses its mind and forgets its identity. We know the Steelers are stout vs. the run. We know that asking Saquon Barkley for 150 yards and two TDs is a lot, but we aren't worried.

It sounds cliche, but this game will be won in the trenches. We'd bet on the Steelers defensive front in most cases, but we never bet against our guys and Jeff Stoutland.

After an off-game last week, we expect Stout to get his guys cooking and show and prove at home.

Jalen Hurts plays mistake-free football and accounts for five explosive plays.

Jalen Hurts has played mistake-free football but has done so, at times, to his detriment. 'Low-risk' has turned into 'no-risk'. He hasn't turned the ball loose on throws that, by NFL standards, should be easy.

Here's the thing. We all know that Jalen knows that. Sometimes, guys just need a reset. QB1 may not exceed 300 yards passing, but we expect a handful of explosive plays with his arm and legs.

Philly stacks 450 yards of offense and wins by more than a touchdown's margin.

It sounds weird to say this after saying what we said about Jalen, right? No worries. We stand by our prediction.

250 yards or so by Jalen Hurts and 150 yards rushing lead to a 400-yard offensive showing. That and a win are just what the doctor ordered for an Eagles team attempting to close the gap on the Detroit Lions.

Philly enters this week a game behind the NFC North leaders for the top spot in the NFC. The winner of this race takes the conference's crown and earns a first-round bye come playoff time.
