Philadelphia Eagles fans know that the news cycle is way too slow when everyone in the Philly sports media rolls out to cover a youth football camp that the general public might not care about....unless it's hosted by wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Brown was in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he hosted his annual youth camp, during which the veteran wide receiver spent time with the kids and worked through drills with them. He even had a surprise guest join with former Eagle and current Minnesota Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers.
The media hoped that when the camp ended, Brown would spend some time with them and discuss the pending trade rumors involving the New England Patriots. That did not happen.
A.J. Brown escapes media regarding pending trade from Eagles
Brown has never spoken to the media at the camp, and that wasn't about to change. It seems odd that the Philly media thought this would be the time he would talk about it, when he has never done so over the offseason.
Everyone just wants to know what will happen with the rumored trade that might come after June 1, when the Eagles take a smaller dead cap hit and save about $7 million on the cap. The impatience is understandable, but it has to be accepted.
From Brown's perspective, the media have not been so kind to him, so why would he take the time to speak with them? He feels they have painted him in a negative light, which fans know to be true, as he indirectly said it himself to the crowd at the camp.
"I love you all. I don't care what you hear out there," Brown said via The Philadelphia Inquirer's Olivia Reiner. "I love you all. You understand?"

The wait will continue and that will be the case for the next month, so everyone should just sit back and relax. That news or comment from Brown is not happening anytime soon.
