The 2026 NFL Draft has come and gone, with the Philadelphia Eagles just weeks away from minicamp getting underway.

There are going to be some big decisions about the roster as the team tries to figure out who to keep and who to let go. The eight rookies they selected in the 2026 NFL Draft all have a chance to make the roster and take spots away from veterans.

Some of those veterans will be waiting to have their chance, but could be in trouble of making the 53-man roster in August. Here's a look at four veterans who could be in danger and will have to wait months for their fates to be met.

Andre' Sam, Safety

Sam has been on and off the roster in hopes of helping with the depth at safety. The selection of Cole Wisniewski in the seventh round certainly complicated things for him and could now jeopardize his spot on the roster, possibly his last time on an NFL roster.

John Ojukwu, OT

What a tough spot Ojukwu is going to be in for the Eagles. They selected Markel Bell in the third round, and they still have Myles Hinton and Cameron Williams as young backups the Eagles are developing. Philly might be in a position where Ojukwu could be in the same spot that Kenyon Green was last year and might have a tough time making the roster.

Stone Smartt, TE

Smartt just joined the team during the offseason, but Eli Stowers's second-round selection did not help his chances of making the roster. There are eight tight ends on the roster for Philly, so someone is going to get the short end of the stick. Smartt feels like he could be that guy.

Johnny Wilson, WR

Elijah Moore is a popular name that everyone believes could be on the hot seat of not making the roster, but Wilson is in an even worse spot. He's coming off a bad training camp injury that cost him the whole 2025 season, so with guys like Marquise Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Makai Lemon now in Philly, he's in big trouble of not making the roster.
