Philadelphia Eagles fans probably don't pay much attention to what teams outside of the NFC East do in the draft, but they might be a little more intrigued by what the Kansas City Chiefs did. Chiefs head coach and former Eagles head coach Andy Reid just dropped one heck of a player comparison for one of the Chiefs' late-round draft picks.
The Chiefs spent a fifth-round pick on Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson, and the player Reid compared him to will make Eagles fans wish their team had selected him instead. Reid said that his newest running back reminded him of former Eagle (and Chief, funny enough) LeSean McCoy.
"Smart kid. Good kid. [Johnson]'s got that lateral quickness. We had LeSean McCoy [in Kansas City] for a bit. He's got a little bit of that to him, where he can shift gears and still get himself up field quickly. "

Eagles fans are well aware of what prime McCoy could do, and imagining that on the Chiefs' offense isn't a fun thought. The Eagles and Chiefs obviously have a bit of beef with each other, as both have bested each other in a Super Bowl in recent years, with Philly winning the most recent matchup in Super Bowl 59.
McCoy was an absolute menace during his peak years in Philadelphia, rushing for over 1,000 yards four times. He also rushed for a whopping 17 touchdowns in 2011. Again, absolute menace. Hopefully, the Chiefs don't have a guy capable of doing that kind of damage on their roster, because if so, that's going to be tough for Eagles fans to watch.

K.C. had a down year in 2025, and the Chiefs' rushing attack was basically non-existent. Imagining that offense led by Patrick Mahomes having a weapon on Shady's level is pretty terrifying, so let's hope that Reid's comparison doesn't play out anywhere close to that.
