These divisional games will be intense.

Those divisional clashes between the members of the NFC East figure to be as venomous as they always are. Call it a hunch. The Philadelphia Eagles will remain the cream of the crop. That's our way-too-early-prediction. Keep an eye on the Washington Commanders however. They appear to be Philly's biggest obstacle in winning the division's crown as they have leapfrogged the suddenly-dismal Dallas Cowboys.

Each team entered the 2025 NFL Draft with a plan of making their roster better. The selections we've seen made will only deepen the connections between the four members of football's money division, both good and bad.

On night one of the selection meeting, Washington and the New York Giants added players our Birds were interested in, prospects Philly hosted during Top 30 Visits. The G-Men grabbed Philly native and lifelong Eagles fan Abdul Carter. The Commanders added offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr.

NY also grabbed Jaxson Dart. Dallas grabbed another O-lineman (Tyler Booker). In Round 2, on Friday, the Cowboys added another Philly target.

Dallas Cowboys draft Donovan Ezeiruaku with 44th overall selection.

The pick is in as they say. The Dallas Cowboys again address needs in the trenches. This time, they add an edge rusher, Donovan Ezeiruaku.

The former Boston College Eagle appeared in 47 games over four NCAA football seasons (2021-24). He notched 215 total tackles, 30 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and four pass breakups en route to a 2024 ACC Defensive Player of the Year mention and First-team All-ACC honors.

Philly hosted Ezeiruaku on a pre-draft visit but earned a first-round steal in Jihaad Campbell. We always expect those battles between these NFC East rivals to be intense, but when we think about former Penn State stars Micah Parsons and Abdul Carter lined up across the line of scrimmage from the Eagles O-line, there appears to be even more things to talk about in terms of matchups.

Oh, and to make matters worse, how about this? The Commanders grabbed DB Trey Amos. He would have certainly looked great in Eagles green.
