As the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to unleash a new offense before long, plenty of speculation about just how successful they can be this coming season is underway.
Brad Gagnon with Bleacher Report recently predicted the over/under on wins total for all 32 NFL teams, envisioning the Eagles nailing the over on a projected 10.5 victories.
"The veteran Eagles have averaged 12.5 victories per season the last four years, winning at least 11 in each of them. I understand some trepidation considering significant offseason turnover in terms of the offensive coaching staff and personnel, but the core remains in place under Nick Sirianni.Â
"The schedule is softer than you might expect, and you just know these guys will be in the thick of things come December and January."
"I also believe they needed an offensive shakeup, and that Sean Mannion and Makai Lemon could bring a fresh feel to that unit. "
Over the course of the past four years, winning at a high clip has remained synonymous with this battle-tested squad. Sure, there are high's and lows, but that's just the nature of the beast for all franchises in the NFL.
Strong start as important as ever for Eagles
A fast start this coming season is crucial, as a look at the schedule shows the opening four games of the 2026 regular season should yield three, perhaps four, wins for Philadelphia. An opener against Washington, a Week 2 trip to Tennessee, then clashes with stiffer competition in Chicago and the LA Rams leave the Eagles with a strong shot to get their new offense firing on all cylinders early on.
Schedule-wise, things will really heat up from a competition standpoint when the temperatures drop in December. The month opens up with a pair of opponents the Eagles must dispatch in the Cardinals and Colts before the team enters an absolute gauntlet.
A clash with the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks awaits Philadelphia on December 19, followed by another home game against an equally imposing defense when Reed Blankenship and the Texans pay a visit to the Linc on December 24.
After the smoke clears from the showdowns with Seattle and Houston, the team faces tough road contests against the 49ers and Giants in early January. The schedule gives Philadelphia an opportunity to come out blazing, while that December-into-January window figures to be grueling.

It's imperative that offensive coordinator Sean Mannion and Jalen Hurts waste no time in getting things going in the right direction, as an unforeseen loss or two in the early stages this coming season could haunt them in the long run.
