While Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Brandon Graham isn't the same player he was five years ago, he provided a much-needed spark for Philly with his veteran presence after an unexpected return during the 2025 season.

After being signed following Za'Darius Smith's sudden retirement, Graham provided a calming presence as a rotational piece on the Eagles' defensive line, which was struggling to generate a pass rush. Graham took to his podcast to talk about his future in the NFL.

“If I can, I will," Graham said via Brandon Graham Unblocked Podcast. "I’m going to be training like I’m going to play until I know (if I’m not).”

Brandon Graham might be coming back for 2026 season with Eagles

Graham totaled three sacks and eight tackles through nine games this season while playing in 113 snaps (19% of snaps). While his output wasn't dynamic, it is worth noting that upon the acquisition of Graham, the unit's production saw a massive uptick.

While Graham may not be a high-priority signing for the Eagles, there is something to be said about having him in the building. Graham has been with the Eagles since 2010, appearing in 215 games and recording 79.5 sacks over his 16 seasons.

With Graham's willingness to remain in shape and "stay ready", the longtime Eagle should remain a viable option if Philadelphia finds itself in a situation needing depth. The Eagles have plenty of decisions to make when it comes to free agents this offseason. The team will more likely exercise the 5th-year option on Jalen Carter, begin negotiations with Jordan Davis about an extension, and have the trade-deadline acquisition of Jaelan Phillips now in line for a contract.

While Graham may not be a dynamic edge rusher like he was in the mid 2010s, his intangibles are unmatched in the building. While the Michigan alum may not be on the immediate radar for Philadelphia, the crafty veteran will be ready to go if his services are called upon.
