The Philadelphia Eagles ended the season with a win in three of their last four games as they get set for an NFC Wild Card showdown against the San Francisco 49ers.
Philly enters with an 11-6 record, winners of the NFC East, and the number three seed in the NFC. The 49ers are looking to play spoiler, as they are 12-5 and just missed out on potentially being the NFC's number one seed after their 13-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 18.
After their 24-17 loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 18, Eagles defensive lineman Brandon Graham shared what the team has to worry about the most when facing a strong team like the 49ers.
"Got to stop their run, Christian McCaffrey. Being on top of that. I've heard he's been doing a great job since he's been back," Graham said via ESPN's Tim McManus. "We just got to be us man, bring the energy and play fast on defense and put the offense in a great position. It's going to be field positioning in that game, special teams, everybody has to do their jobs and make sure that they come ready because I know the 49ers are going to definitely to come in here and try to get one on our field. We gotta make sure that we defend it."
49ers are not going to be an easy team for Eagles to beat
Graham heard right about McCaffrey as he had a monster season for the 49ers. He had 1,202 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, but also added 102 receptions for 924 receiving yards and seven more scores in 17 games.
San Francisco can line McCaffrey up anywhere on the field, either as a running back or as a wide receiver. He finally put together a healthy season, proving he's a top-five running back in the NFL.
Not only is McCaffrey a nightmare matchup for the Eagles' linebackers and defensive backs in coverage, but he can run it all over them as well. Philly is one of the weakest rushing defenses in the NFL, ranking 22nd, allowing 124.4 yards per game.

This is not going to be an easy matchup for the Eagles, no matter how many 49ers players are injured. If Philly doesn't come prepared to play, San Francisco has a good chance of winning this game, which would not be good for the City of Brotherly Love.
