Brandon Graham remains noncommittal about Eagles future after 2nd Super Bowl win

We think Brandon Graham will retire as a champion based on previous comments, but the Eagles' captain seemingly hasn't closed the door on a possible return.

The perfect ending to a career that says everything about what it means to play in the City of Brotherly Love... That's what Philadelphia Eagles legend Brandon Graham has had the opportunity to live.

Think about it. He has been doubted since his arrival. Keep in mind the fact that, during the 2010 NFL Draft, we thought the Birds traded up to select Texas Longhorns saftey Earl Thomas.

Thank goodness they didn't do that. Earl got off to a faster start, but B.G. proved to be the perfect selection for Philadelphia.

Brandon Graham's Eagles career gets off to a slow start.

If you're a younger Birds fan, you might not remember that this B.G. love fest wasn't always our vibe. Despite being acquired 13th overall by Andy Reid of all people it took a while for him to justify being selected so high.

He felt the wrath when he wasn't performing well. He kept grinding, became a great player, and will, no doubt, be enshrined in the franchise's Hall of Fame. He deserves that.

He's a 2016 Second-Team All-Pro, a 2020 Pro Bowler, and the author of the greatest strip-sack in Super Bowl history, but we've all asked the question. What comes next.?

Brandon Graham told us he'd retire before Super Bowl 59, but there's a chance the fire may have been reignited.

We thought we knew what the plan was. Maybe we still do. Maybe nothing has changed... Maybe... But, Brandon Graham appeared on 94 WIP-FM this past Tuesday and never answered the retirement question.

Is this the end? Is the journey finished? He never really answered the question, choosing only to say that 'he just wants to enjoy this moment for a few more days before speaking with his family and making a decision'.

You know what? We don't have a problem with that at all. After 15 seasons and his contributions, he has earned the right to waffle for a few days.

At the time of this story's release, the Valentine's Day victory parade hasn't happened yet. It's less than two days away. Let him celebrate. We'll revisit this later.

Okay, we can't end it there. We must offer our unsolicited opinion. All of the effort B.G. put into playing in Super Bowl LIX leads us to believe he has played his final Eagles game.

We'll miss him, but what better way to go out than on top? We'll say this. If this is the end, it has been one heck of a ride.
