Sometimes, it's the things that you love about someone that also drives you crazy. We celebrate C.J. Gardner-Johnson for the emotion and passion he plays the game with. Unfortunately, however, his emotions will force him to watch the remainder of the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Commanders game from the locker room.

Two unsportsmanlike conduct fouls equal an ejection at the professional level. Who can guess what ended C.J.'s work day in Landover if you aren't watching the game?

C.J. Gardner-Johnson gives the home crowd in Eagles vs. Commanders clash an improper sendoff.

We saw a mixed bag from C.J. Gardner-Johnson. He picked off a pass that ended a Commanders drive. He also got lost in coverage early, and that led to Washington's first TD reception.

His day won't be remembered for any of that though. When we talk about this clash and mention him, we'll do so by mentioning his ejection... and his double-bird salute on the way off of the field.

We realize C.J.'s edge fuels him. We realize that is what makes him the competitor he is. He also has to be smarter than this.

He's no benefit to his Eagles teammates if he takes early trips to the showers. Yes, he made one of the bigger defensive plays of the game, but in hard-fought NFC East tussles, it's unwise to give the opposition advantages, even if those advantages are psychological.
