You don't have to say it Coop, but we will.

The Philadelphia Eagles would like to forget the struggles at CB2 the team faced last season, but the offseason has made most fans excited for the 2026 campaign.

Philly's first big signing during free agency was cornerback Riq Woolen, who signed a one-year, $12 million contract, bringing him to the Eagles to join forces with All-Pros Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. In a recent podcast appearance, DeJean was asked whether he believed the Eagles' corners were now the best in the NFL, but he remained humble in his answer.

“That’s what we are working towards," DeJean said via NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark. "I think we all do different things really well. I feel like we can complement each other really well. We’ve gotta put the work in, and get everybody on the same page here.”

Cooper DeJean isn't ready to crown Eagles best cornerback room in NFL

DeJean will always take a humble approach, as he is a high-character player who doesn't have an ego. That's okay because the Eagles fan base can handle that for him.

Mitchell and DeJean are two of the top 10 cornerbacks in the NFL right now; last season, Mitchell allowed just a 44.3% completion rate and had 17 pass deflections. DeJean was just as good as he had 16 pass deflections and a staggering 93 tackles from the nickel position.

Woolen brings a different dynamic to the secondary that was needed, as he stands at 6-foot-4. Kelee Ringo has a similar height, but Woolen is more consistent in pass coverage, even though the regular season last year was up and down for him. Woolen still came out on top, playing well for the Seattle Seahawks in the postseason and helping the team win a Super Bowl.

If Woolen ends up being a good starting corner, there's no reason to believe these three could be the best in the NFL. Eagles fans know that Mitchell and DeJean alone are enough to get everyone believing in this cornerback room a lot more than last year.
