Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was certainly not shy about making multiple moves before the trade deadline, but the Philadelphia Eagles aren't going to sweat over the moves.
The Cowboys started the day with a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals to acquire linebacker Logan Wilson. Jones dropped a major bomb with one of the biggest blockbuster trades of the season, getting defensive lineman Quinnen Williams from the New York Jets for a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick, as well as Mazi Smith.
Dallas pushes hard for moves, but Eagles still rule the NFC
Credit the Cowboys for attempting to match what the Eagles have done when it comes to roster building. Wilson is kind of up and down with his play, but Williams is an All-Pro level player and could actually do what Kenny Clark hasn't been able to do: stop the run.
Philadelphia has still done a great job building their roster year after year. This year, there might be some questions with the amount of trades made at the deadline (three to be exact), but Eagles general manager Howie Roseman at least has done a good enough job to right the wrongs of the past.
Guys like Michael Carter and Jaire Alexander can fix the secondary right away and fill in either in the slot or on the outside. Edge rusher Jaelan Phillips is the biggest pickup of the season, as he will help a position that only had 4.5 sacks in 2025.
Eagles maintain a three-game lead in the NFC East over the second-place Cowboys. Outside of a massive collapse by Philly, this could be a division that gets wrapped up by early December.

Dallas did get better with their trades, but they still have a ton of work to get even close to the 6-2 Eagles.
