As expected, the Philadelphia Eagles began a third consecutive day of practice, and Jordan Mailata and Dallas Goedert were nowhere to be found. They weren't even spectators on the field. Both are dealing with hamstring injuries. We have already learned Mailata is expected to miss extended time, and educated guesses tell us Goedert is out on Sunday.

Cornerback Eli Ricks didn't practice either due to a groin issue. Defensive tackle Byron Young, also dealing with some hamstring trouble, also sat the session out.

Ricks missed the Thursday session as well. Young was limited, but fear not, a well known DB and DT returned to action.

Darius Slay and Jalen Carter return to action after sitting out of Eagles practice on Thursday.

By now, many of you have probably heard the news, but after being a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and sitting out of Thursday's action Darius Slay returned to the field on Friday. His is a knee issue.

Jalen Carter (shoulder) also worked out. He was also among the Birds who sat out on Thursday. It's good to see both. Philly will need as many hands on deck to tackle the New York Giants on Sunday.

Milton Williams looks to be getting back to form. He didn't participate on Wednesday (ankle) and was limited on Thursday. Jalyx Hunt (ankle) was a full participant.

Sydney Brown (knee), Albert Okwuegbunam (abdomen), and Ainias Smith are progressing well and could be elevated back to the active roster from the injured reserve. All have practice windows open.

They were all full participants all week. If Philly elects against elevating them back to the active roster before their 21-day practice windows close, they return to IR for the rest of the season.

Check back for updates. We'll drop Friday's injury report below once it is made available. That should come closer to 5 p.m. EST.
