Jordan Mailata will miss a few weeks. Meanwhile, we hope to see more weeks play out for three young defenders like the most recent.

The Philadelphia Eagles are over .500! It's been an up-and-down season. Their most recent game has been diagnosed since its ending, a four-point victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Some say winning shouldn't have been as difficult a task as it was. Still, regardless of whether or not we feel the Birds should have covered, the most important thing is they won.

Wins are hard to come by in this league. That can't be understated. Sure, we call opponents 'inferior' and classify those games as 'easy', but every NFL team has NFL players on it.

So, Philly should be proud of this win, whether it was earned by four points or 400. Unfortunately, however as has often been the case, this win was rather costly.

Eagles news: Jordan Mailata is expected to miss a few weeks with his hamstring injury.

Dallas Goedert left Sunday's game early. Shortly thereafter, Darius Slay and Jordan Mailata did the same. Slay's injury is to the knee. Mailata and Goedert are both dealing with hamstring issues.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni spoke with the media on Monday. He's typically vague on these topics but seemed cool about handing out a diagnosis. Mailata will miss multiple weeks with an injury.

Fred Johnson will fill in at left tackle in his absence. Get well soon, big guy.

More Eagles news: The former Georgia stars have themselves a day.

Cooper DeJean impressed during his debut at slot corner. Quinyon Mitchell also had a great day despite also being robbed of his first career interception by one of his defensive teammates.

Collectively, they were targeted ten times by Deshaun Watson. They only allowed three receptions for 23 yards and a 39.6 passer rating. Pro Football Focus grades other defenders higher though.

Remember those first-round draft choices from the Georgia Bulldogs? They have received tons of criticism but were the highest-graded Eagles defensive stars on Sunday.

How's that for ending things on a high note? Next up for Philly is a date with the New York Giants on the road. Cue the Saquon Barkley revenge game.
