Young Eagles star shows signs of life while two starters' work days end abruptly
How great might Jalen Carter be if he gave full effort on every play? That question has been asked of the second-year Philadelphia Eagles star for a while.
Is Darius Slay with us or against us? Is he still in this thing mentally? That question, as unfair as it may seem, has been asked as of late. Things really got out of hand when he appeared on a rival's podcast and one of Slay's teammates indulged in a mini-social media war with the host.
Love him or hate him, Slay's a great leader and a good teammate, one who is always looking to pour into younger teammates. Unfortunately, however, his contribution will have to come from the sidelines.
Darius Slay leaves the Eagles vs. Browns contest with an injury. Fortunately, there is good news on the Jalen Carter front.
In a game where we thought we'd enjoying seeing all hands on deck, the Eagles vs. Browns affair has proven to be costly.
We've seen a former Super Bowl hero score on a fluke special teams play. Before that happened, Dallas Goedert was lost on the first Eagles offense drive because of a hamstring injury.
And, now there's more bad news to report. Darius Slay's injury might be more serious than we ooriginally thought. Per team report, a knee injury has resulted in his status for return being deemed 'questionable'.
Things aren't any better on the offensive side of the ball. Jordan Mailata has limped off as well (and, he didn't leave under his own power).
Jordan has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury.
At the time of this story's release, a nightmare was brewing in South Philadelphia. The Birds were in a dogfight with the lowly Browns but pulled it out. Whew! Victory wasn't certain until late, but you know that phrase. A win is a win.
