In a week that has been tough on Philadelphia Eagles fans with all the negativity surrounding quarterback Jalen Hurts, it's nice to occasionally have some heartfelt moments.

April is Autism Awareness Month, which is a big deal for the Eagles as the organization has been groundbreaking for Autism research thanks to owner Jeffrey Lurie's passion for it, as he has a brother with Autism. The Eagles hold an Autism Challenge that raises millions of dollars each year for Autism research.

Well, a great moment from the Eagles and wide receiver DeVonta Smith came on the airwaves of ESPN as they participated in the network's NFL Live show. ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky has a son, Madden, who has Autism, and has brought him onto the NFL Live set over the last few years for one day in April during Autism Awareness Month. Smith ended up sending a video message to Madden, and he and the Eagles sent a care package with multiple items, including a small Swoop stuffed toy and Eagles Autism Challenge gear.

Of course, this is an incredible gesture for Smith to take the time to make a video for Orlovsky's son. This is nothing new for Smith, as he is heavily involved in the Eagles Autism Challenge, and he has a nephew with Autism as well.

At the NFL owners meeting this past week, Lurie had told the media that they received an anonymous check for $15 million “because they thought we did the best at evaluating what exciting research projects to invest in — and they watched our process.” Lurie has been passionate about helping out with Autism research over the years.

“I think Philadelphia will be the epicenter for autism research in the world,” Lurie said via The Athletic's Brooks Kubena.
