There are only two teams left to compete for the Super Bowl, and that is very good news for the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles' offensive coordinator search has not gone as well as they had hoped, with many candidates already being passed over. Philly has had to start thinking outside the box with less experienced coaches like Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, who has no play-calling experience.
There is one option that just became available for a coach who is a future star in the NFL, but it would be a massive risk for the Eagles. It might not be the number one choice for Eagles fans, but this coach is going to be the next big thing in the next five years, and Philly has a chance to jump out ahead of it.
Eagles should interview Rams coach Nathan Scheelhaase
This coaching cycle has really exposed the fact that the Los Angeles Rams might have a future star coach on their staff with passing game coordinator Nathan Scheelhaase. The Rams have had Scheelhaase on their staff over the last two years after being the offensive coordinator for the Iowa State Cyclones.
Scheelhaase has been getting a lot of buzz since the Rams have the best passing offense in the NFL, and they did so with Matthew Stafford, who is 37. Even though the Rams did not make it to the Super Bowl, Stafford still looked great in the playoffs and did enough to give Scheelhaase some real consideration.
Now, there's going to be competition for Scheelhaase as he is apparently one of the finalists for the Cleveland Browns head coach opening. This scenario might not even mean a thing if Scheelhaase gets hired by Cleveland, but if he doesn't, then the floodgates will open for him to be an offensive coordinator.
The Eagles would prefer someone with play-calling experience, and while Scheelhaase may not have it at the pro level, he was an offensive coordinator previously. College football is very different from the NFL, but that valuable experience is still a good thing to have, no matter what.

With the search not going so well, it's okay for the Eagles to start thinking outside the box and finding candidates who might be future stars, and they should take a chance. Scheelhaase is right there with Doyle for guys that should be in that conversation.
