What will E.J. Jenkins' role be after making the team?
Jenkins making the team was no doubt the biggest surprise of the roster, as the Eagles decided to hold onto four tight ends. This clearly signals that rookie second-round pick Eli Stowers is unlikely to have any impact in 2026. So the question is: how will Jenkins help the roster, and are they looking at him as the next Cameron Latu?
Will the Eagles really roll with just four inside linebackers in 2026?
Zack Baun and Jihaad Campbell are expected to be the starters, with Jeremiah Trotter Jr. mixing into the rotation. Smael Mondon Jr. will most likely fill in Trotter's role on special teams, but is this really it at linebacker? It feels like promoting Chance Campbell makes sense for depth, but having four inside linebackers entering the season is a bit scary.
Is three safeties enough for the Eagles for the new year?
If four inside linebackers are really lacking in depth, what about having just three safeties? Michael Carter II is really a safety/nickel hybrid, and Cooper DeJean is too, so they might be fine. Still, only having three active safeties when the Eagles are loaded with so many corners is a bit worrisome, especially since Andrew Mukuba is just coming back from fracturing his ankle last year.

Even with all four quarterbacks on the team, it didn't clarify the backup job any better. It has been Andy Dalton and Tanner McKee competing for the job, but this team is nowhere closer to naming a backup than they were at the beginning of training camp. Someone has to win this job, and it needs to be cleared up soon.
