The Philadelphia Eagles certainly had their way with the Green Bay Packers in 2024, but the rematch is going to be even better with what Philly just did.
On social media, the Eagles announced that they would be wearing the all-black uniform combination, featuring a black helmet and black pants. That might sound familiar because it's the same ones they wore for the Brazil game last year when they beat the Packers 34-29.

Philly has not worn those uniforms since they did, but it is a perfect time for them to bring them out against the team they beat with them a season ago.
Eagles have owned the Packers over the last five matchups
Besides the five-point win to open the season last year, the Eagles and Packers also met in the NFC Wild Card game to kick off the playoffs. Philly had an easier time in that game thanks to three interceptions by the defense to give the Eagles a 22-10 win over Green Bay.
Dating back to 2019, the Eagles have beaten the Packers in four of the last five games. The only win by Green Bay was back in the miserable 2020 season, where the Packers won 30-16, but officially kicked off the Jalen Hurts era after he replaced Carson Wentz in the game and threw a 32-yard touchdown to Greg Ward in the loss.
Since then, Hurts has been 3-0 against the Packers with all three being from Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles haven't won at Lambeau Field since 2019.
It's a critical matchup in the second half of the season as the Eagles have a half-game lead on the Packers for first in the NFC. Whoever wins this game will have control of their destiny in the conference.

With the Eagles coming off the bye and adding three new pieces to the roster, they look to be the favorites for the rest of the year to make the Super Bowl and win it once again.
